So, can anybody explain how this does NOT describe the Republican Party, and many Right Wing organizations and pundits (i.e. Rush, Beck, O’Reilly, Hennity, etc..) who are calling for people to disrupt town hall discussions about health care reform? Especially when they are inciting some of those individuals to actual violence and/or threats of violence –> http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/08/unions-receive-increasing_n_254704.html
The Republican Party touts itself as being the ones who protected the US from terrorism (after 9/11; conveniently forgetting that they ignored warnings and other indicators before 9/11). Yet, as far as I am concerned, they have become terrorists themselves.
Now, I have voted Republican in the past, just as I have voted Democratic. I vote for those whose view most closely match my own views (there will never be an identical match). I consider myself as politically agnostic (i.e. independent mostly).
But the outright lies and misrepresentations and so forth are extremely souring and, IMO, also a very corrupt way to do politics. The republicans no longer care about having better ideas, they only want to destroy the democrat’s ideas and people.
I find it disgusting.
