I recently discovered a site called PaperBackSwap which allows you to swap your books for other books. It is a very cool site! Read on to find out more!
The image to the left is a banner for PaperBackSwap. How it works is very simple.
- 1) You register.
- 2) You list 10 books that you are willing to ship out to others.
- 3) You get 2 credits (1 book per credit). Once you choose a book, the person who listed it ships it to you at their own expense.
- 4) Once you receive the book, you mark it as received on the site, and the person who sent it gets a credit.
What this also means is that once you send out a book to somebody, you will start getting additional credits as well.
On average, it will cost about $2-$3 or so to ship a book. Thus, you essentially get 2 free books, and then only have to pay half price for (i.e. the shipping fees for books you send out) for each additional book.
Also, if you like, you can purchase credits as well. All in all, it looks like an excellent site and setup!
